Jane Seymour – 3rd Wife of Henry VIII
Jane Seymour (1508 – 1537) – she succeeded Anne Boleyn soon after her execution in 1536. She died a year later, at age 28, of postnatal complications less than two weeks after the birth of her son, who later became King Edward VI. She was the only one of Henry’s wives to receive a queen’s funeral.
In this Tudor style costume she is wearing gold velvet gown with gold brocade skirt decorated with gold ribbons and pearls. The gown has puffy sleeves richly decorated with golden ribbons and pearls. Her headpiece is decorated with golden pearls and ribbons. She also wears and game stone earrings and golden/pearl necklace with golden rose pedant.
